ABOUT ABOUT

If you love food and photography and are passionate about learning where your food comes from, this is the class for you.
This multiple-day workshop on beautiful Whidbey Island will focus on how to tell a story through photographs. Specifically, you will learn how to tell a story about food.

Students will arrive late afternoon on Thursday and spend the evening getting acquainted with one another and learning some basics of documentary photography. Then, after breakfast on Friday, the day will be spent visiting and photographing 2 farms on the island: Willowood, which grows organic vegetables, and Quails Run Farm, which raises grass fed beef, honey bees, as well as organic veggies.
On Saturday, students will learn all about natural light food photography and will spend the day practicing their skills. The evening will wrap up with a review of student work and a great dinner.

The workshop ends at 10am on Sunday.

The fee of $1250 includes everything! Specifically...

• 3 nights accommodations in The Willow Pond Lake House, (PLEASE NOTE THAT ROOMS ARE SHARED) You can view the house here: http://willowpondlodge.com/tour-the-lake-house.html
• all meals (including wine!)
• transportation on the island
• all workshop instruction
